A factory reset (hard reset) can help in case of a blank or frozen screen, apps crashing or freezing, keyboard/touchscreen problems, if you can't hear anything, if the device is noisy, if you can't make or answer calls, and if the device won't sync.

 Warning.

- If the device is responsive and can be turned on, the preferred reset method should be performed.

 Hints: Do not perform a factory reset unless absolutely necessary, as it will erase all data, including:

- Google™ Account unless absolutely necessary; unless otherwise necessary, the following will be deleted.

- Google Google Google Google account, system and application data 

- All Google Google application data and application settings

- All settings including: system settings; application settings; application settings; application downloads.

media (it is recommended that you back up this data).

  Music, pictures and videos can alternatively be backed up to a computer.

Soft Reset

1.       On a home screen, swipe up from the center of the screen to access the application screen.

2.       Navigate to: settings-> General management -> Reset.

3.       Tap Factory Reset.

4.       If displayed, enter the current PIN, password, or pattern. 7.

5.       Tap Clear All.

6.       Wait a few minutes for the factory reset and reboot to complete.

 Notes:

- If a pattern, PIN, etc. has or was created on the device, a Google account login is required during initial setup.

- Wi-Fi dialing settings are not transferred after changing the device and/or resetting to factory settings. You must manually enable Wi-Fi Calling if you want to use it.

 

HARD RESET SAMSUNG A20

1.       Make sure the device is turned off.

2.       Press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons simultaneously until the device vibrates.

3.       When the Android recovery screen appears, release all buttons.

4.       Allow up to 30 seconds for the recovery screen to appear.

5.       On the Android recovery screen, select "Erase data/factory setting".

6.       Use the volume buttons to scroll through the available options and the power button to select.

 

7.       Select Yes.

8.       Wait a few seconds for the factory reset to complete.

 

9.       Select Reboot the system now.

10.   Wait a few minutes for the reboot process to complete.
