Detailed steps to jailbreak iOS on Windows
# Create a USB flash drive for Ubuntu
Step 1. Insert your USB flash drive.
Step 2. Download and run the Rufus executable - no installation is required. Once downloaded, the application is ready to use.
Step 3. Click on the "Select" button and find the Ubuntu image you downloaded. Once selected, the "ubuntu-20.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso" file will appear in the boot selection. Leave the other options as default and click "Start".
Step 4 Rufus will display a warning that all data on your live USB will be destroyed. If necessary, back up your USB files and click "OK". Once the ISOHybrid image is detected, select the recommended option and click "OK".
Wait 2 to 3 minutes for Rufus to create an Ubuntu USB drive.
When the process is complete, click "Close".
Note
If the Ubuntu drive is not recognized, please reconnect it after creating the Ubuntu drive.
# Boot Ubuntu on Windows
Step 5: Go to "Windows" > "Reboot" to reboot your computer.
Press the F12 key combination after the computer has booted and before the operating system loads. This is my Dell computer.
Caution
On most brands of computers, the keyboard shortcut to boot the BIOS is F12. If F12 does not work, you will need to find the correct key that corresponds to your brand.
Your computer's BIOS control window appears. In the BIOS window, you need to select the Ubuntu USB drive you just created. Using the arrow keys on your keyboard, select the correct option and press "Enter".
Step 6. You will see that the Ubuntu system will load as shown in the image below. All Ubuntu file system checks are running.
Select the first option "*Ubuntu" to boot the selected Ubuntu operating system.
Step 7: When the boot is complete, select "Try Ubuntu" to boot from the Ubuntu flash drive.
Now you are in the Ubuntu system. Keep your iPhone/iPad/iPod touch connected to your computer and you will see it on your desktop.
# Jailbreak your iOS device
Step 8. Find the jailbreak tool file "checkra1n-x86_64" that you downloaded earlier. If you didn't download the file before you restarted your computer, you can now download it via your browser. To open the Checkra1n jailbreak tool, you need to use Terminal.
Open the terminal and type the codes one by one in the terminal (you can just copy the codes in quotes).
1. Type "chmod +x " (one space before the plus sign and one space after x) and drag the file "checkra1n-x86_64" to the terminal window and press "Enter".
Type "sudo" (there is a space after sudo) and again drag the file "checkra1n-x86_64" into the terminal window and press "Enter".
Note
If you cannot drag the checkra1n file into the terminal window, you can copy and paste it to the desktop. Right-click on the file, select "View in File", and drag it again.
If the code was entered correctly in the previous step, Checkra1n will run and the following screen will appear.
#What to do if Checkra1n's "Start" button is grayed out?
If your device is running untested versions of Checkra1n, specifically iOS 13.5.1 and 14.5, the "Start" button of Checkra1n will be grayed out. Click on "Options" and select "Untested
